This signed check features an absolutely exquisite Babe Ruth signature. Signed “G.H. Ruth” in strong black fountain pen, the 1937-dated check is made out to the St. Albans Golf Club. This was Ruth’s second year as a retired ballplayer, and like many other ex-baseball men, Ruth took to the links to pass the time – however, the Babe wasn’t just a novice, but a well-respected golfer of whom many experts agreed could have easily turned pro and started a second career on the green. The check has a piece missing from the left bottom corner, but this does not affect the signature.
