Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Hall of Famer. This is one of just four examples at its tier (with none graded higher) among a total of thirty-one copies recorded in PSA's census reporting. The audience north of the border was categorically immersed in hockey during this period (a condition abetted by a measure of distaste for all things American). And it's a wonder that a baseball card such as this (picturing a "Yankee," no less) isn't extinct. This one endured these many decades in a fine state of preservation. With delicate, die-cut features miraculously intact, this example concedes only the most minor traces of wear at the corners' tips. The card's back, boldly printed in two languages, is fully legible. An exceptional, career-contemporary DiMaggio memento, in remarkable Near Mint to Mint condition.
