Before he was a star for the Brooklyn Dodgers, and even before he was a star tailback on the UCLA football team, Jackie Robinson attended the small Pasadena Junior College, where he participated on the baseball, basketball, football, and track teams. This is the Pasadena College yearbook from 1938, Robinson’s second year at the school. He appears numerous times in this yearbook, including in pictures for the football, track, and baseball teams. He signed his football headshot, inscribing “Loads of luck and happiness to one swell guy/Jack Robinson”. He used blue pen to sign his name, and his signature appears on page 119. This item comes with a LOA from JSA (B16749).
