Before Jackie Robinson was a star for the Brooklyn Dodgers, before he was the star football player for the University of California, Los Angeles, he was a multi-sport athlete at Pasadena Junior College known as “Jack” Robinson. While at PJC, Robinson starred for their basketball, football, baseball, and track and field clubs.

Robinson is pictured multiple times in this yearbook, including rare shots of Robinson during a basketball game. He signed this program three times, once over his football team headshot, his basketball headshot, and over a photograph of himself and four other members of the PJC basketball team. All of his signatures are written in blue pen. The signature above his basketball headshot includes the inscription, “Best wishes and lots of luck”. All signatures are signed “Jack Robinson”.

These signatures are exceedingly rare, and likely some of the first Robinson ever penned. With his professional baseball career still years away, these signatures represent some of the finest and earliest Robinson autographs to ever reach the market. The signatures are all graded a MINT 9 by PSA/DNA, who have provided a full LOA for this yearbook (AB14144).
