Graded EX+ 5.5 by PSA. Hall of Famer. Joe DiMaggio posted tremendous numbers in 1939, finishing the season with 30 home runs and a .381 batting average. The successful year culminated in his team's four-game sweep of the Cincinnati Reds in the World Series. The offered collectible nicely anticipates that historic "coming of age" campaign for DiMaggio. Its card-front surface is clean, and all four corners remain properly formed with clean wear visible at the tips (most apparently at the bottom-right). On the card's reverse, the mixed upper- and lower-case letters of DiMaggio's name headline a perfectly printed bio text. This is an admirable representation of the "Clipper" from the celebrated '39 Play Ball issue, in worthy Excellent-plus condition.
