Hall of Fame fullback Joe Perry wore this Compton College varsity jacket during his time at the college, during the 1940’s. Perry joined the San Francisco 49ers of the All-America Football Conference in 1948, playing 14 of his 16 seasons for the 49ers. Perry was the first African-American MVP in NFL history, and he led the league in rushing during three seasons. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1969, after rushing for 9,723 yards and 71 touchdowns in his career. This jacket is red, with tan leather sleeves. A Compton College patch is sewn on the right chest. This jacket shows moderate wear, including several imperfections on the shoulders. It comes with a LOA from Joe Perry.
