Presented is an attractive mid-grade 72-card complete set of 1941 Play Ball baseball cards. This release is a befitting send off to what is now called the vintage era of card collecting. One would never realize that the array of superstar subjects, all portrayed in detail and dazzling color, each surrounded by a white to off-white frame, would be the final baseball card release before the virtual halt in production of cardboard collectibles due to the onset of WW II. Seven cards have been graded by PSA. DiMaggio (EX), 63 D. DiMaggio (EX/MT), 64 Doerr (EX+), 70 Dickey (PSA EX-MT 6), 71 J. DiMaggio (PSA EX 5) and 72 Gomez (GD, mark). Grades 76% EX to EX/MT (including a few nicer), 24% VG to VG/EX (including a few lesser).
