Graded GD+ 2.5 by PSA. Hall of Famer. Williams' career year in '41 still didn't yield an MVP Award for the Boston legend – despite hitting .406 and leading the league with 37 home runs. Williams also had the game-winning blast in the ninth inning of the 1941 All-Star Game to cement the American League's victory. Joe DiMaggio's New York popularity edged out Williams in the MVP voting, but didn't diminish his remarkable season. The offered commemorative's portrait boasts vivid, uninterrupted color. Centering is quite good for the issue, and the item's evidence of past handling is expressed in natural wear to the edges and corners. Good-plus condition.
