Offered is a ticket stub from Game 1 of the 1942 World Series between the St. Louis Cardinals and the New York Yankees, from Sportsman’s Park in St. Louis, Missouri. This was the World Series debut of future Hall of Famer Stan Musial. The Yankees won Game 1, 7-4, on September 30, 1942. The Cardinals would go on to win the 1942 World Series, the first played during World War II, four games to one.
