This vintage toned baseball was used during a Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Giants game on September 3rd, 1943. The Dodgers beat the Giants 4-1 at Ebbets Field behind a complete game from Whit Wyatt and a pair of Luis Olmo RBIs. Buster Maynard signed his name on the panel east of the sweet spot with an inscription around his signature that reads “Received Sept. 3, 1943 at Ebbets Field from (signed "Buster Maynard") Autographed Sept. 10, 1943 Polo Grounds". A second inscription has been written on the panel north of the sweet spot, however it has been crossed out. Maynard has signed this ball in black pen. The heavily toned baseball comes with a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A69256).
