The Purdue Boilermakers dominated college football during the 1943 season, finishing with an undefeated record of 9-0. Along the way, they outscored their opponents by a whopping margin of 214-55. Offered here is a 10K gold 1943 Purdue Boilermakers football championship award pendant which was presented to Alex Agase, who was consensus All-America that season. This pendant, in a football shape and design, features a raised Purdue black letter “P” set in the middle of the year listing 1943. “NATIONAL & BIG TEN CHAMPIONS” reads at the bottom. The reverse side of the football boasts of the team’s success – “WON 9 – LOST 0”. Also appearing is the engraving of “A. AGASE ALL AMERICA” as well as a “10K” mark. This item weighs approximately 5.6 grams. This item comes with a letter of provenance from the Agase family.
