This Spalding Sports Show program features many pages illustrated with scenes of men and women playing and enjoying sports. This program was aimed at children, and features the greatest American sports hero of his era on the cover, Babe Ruth. The legendary slugger, who was extremely philanthropic towards children, is shown on the front cover of this green booklet. Ruth has signed the bottom right side of the front cover vertically in bold blue pen. This autograph presents beautifully, with the signature of “The Great Bambino” abundantly clear.

The inside cover features “A personal message from Babe Ruth” that reads “Dear Gang: You fellows are going to find a lot of interesting facts about sports in this little book-facts about the games we play and the equipment we play’ em with. And when you get through reading this book, you’re going to appreciate, as I do, how much the world of American sports owes to Spalding pioneering. All kinds of sports are as natural to us Americans as eating and breathing. Sports are an important way of keeping ourselves mentally and physically alert. So when you get a chance, in your free time, go out and take part in your favorite games. Play’ em the best you can-and play clean and fast! Here’s to you future Champs! Babe Ruth”. This booklet shows edge wear and displays minor toning due to age and would instantly become the centerpiece of any baseball memorabilia collection. This item comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA. Goldin Auctions will be donating 5% of the winning bid price of this lot and all lots in this auction to the Babe Ruth Birthplace Museum.
