The Third Air Force Gremlins were a college football team representing the Third Air Force, one of the four original pre-WWII numbered air forces. Presented here is a team photograph of the 1944 Gremlins signed by 11 members of the team. Signatures include the Hall of Famer Charley Trippi, as well as Ernie Bonelli, Frank Gnup, Bob Kennedy, Jack Karwales, Whitey Piro, Ray Piskor, Frank Lopp, Tony Rosselli, Nick Rodis, and one other. The signatures have been written in black pen, with each player inscribing their original collegiate team below their signatures. This 8 x 10 inch photograph comes with a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication.
