Neill Sheridan wore this San Francisco Seals flannel road jersey in 1946 and 1947. Sheridan, nicknamed “Wild Horse”, hit .269 in 1946 before breaking out for a Triple Crown slash line of .286/16/95 in the 1947 season. He played in the PCL All-Star Game in both 1946 (a home run, a double, and five RBI) and 1947 (two singles). Sheridan reached the major leagues, playing briefly for the Boston Red Sox in 1948. This gray flannel button-down has “SEALS” sewn on the left chest in navy felt. Sheridan’s number “23” is sewn on the back in a similar fashion. A Wilson tag with an attached size “44” flag is sewn on the back inside collar. This jersey shows moderate wear. Also included in this lot is a cut signed by Sheridan in blue pen. The jersey comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema, while the cut comes with a COA from Beckett Authentication Services (F63911).
