These elusive items capture the star-power of the entertainment industry in the years closely following the end of World War II. All of the lids in these groups retain their fragile pull-tab components. The pair includes:
1946 F5-12 Dixie Lids "Movie and Cowboy Stars" Near Set (23/24) - 2-1/4"-diameter, featuring Dale Evans, Judy Garland, Roy Rogers and John Wayne. Missing the Bob Steele/Sid Saylor lid for completion. Condition is about VG to EX (a few lesser);
1952 F5-18 Dixie Lids "Movie, Cowboy and TV Stars" Complete Set (24) - 2-3/4"-diameter, featuring Clark Gable, Bob Hope, Elizabeth Taylor and John Wayne. Condition is uncirculated, generally NM or finer throughout, with protective paper coverings still in place over surfaces that have never been exposed to product.
