Presented here is a Ford C. Frick Official National League baseball signed by 23 members of the 1947 Brooklyn Dodgers. 1947 was a watershed year for not just the Dodgers, but baseball as a whole, as Jackie Robinson broke baseball’s color barrier on April 15th, 1947. The 1947 Rookie of the Year, Robinson led the Dodgers to the National League pennant, finishing with a record of 94-60. In a “Subway Series” matchup against the New York Yankees, the Dodgers performed admirably, but fell in seven games to Joe DiMaggio and company.

Brian Edwards and Eddie Stanky signed the sweet spot of this ball. Hall of Famers Jackie Robinson and Duke Snider also signed this baseball. Other signatures include Carl Furillo, Dixie Walker, Cookie Lavagetto, Joe Hatten, Don Lund, Rex Barney, Bobby Bragan, Hugh Casey, Gene Hermanski, Harry Taylor, Ralph Branca, and several more. Please note the signatures of Pee Wee Reese, Brian Edwards, Tommy Brown, Hank Behrman, and Clyde King have been deemed clubhouse signatures. These signatures have been written in blue fountain pen and this item comes with a LOA from JSA (X64964).
