1947 was a historic season for Major League baseball as Jackie Robinson ushered in a new era when he made his debut for the Brooklyn Dodgers on April 15th. Baseball began the long overdue integration of their sport and the Brooklyn Dodgers would win the National League pennant by five games over the St. Louis Cardinals. Led by Ralph Branca’s 21-12 record and 2.67 ERA, along with a steady lineup that featured Robinson, Hall of Famer Pee Wee Reese, the Dodgers pushed the mighty New York Yankees to seven games in the World Series.

Presented is this 1947 Brooklyn Dodgers National League Champions ring. This is the very ring presented to the players and staff for their remarkable season. This ring is a size 9 1/2 and weighs approximately 24.5 grams . It also has a real diamond that is set into a blue stone on the face, encircled by raised text announcing "Brooklyn Baseball Club." Each shank features a blue embossed Dodgers logo. The interior band is stamped "Murchison Newark 14K" and engraved what appears to be Vincent Pavlich 1947.
