Encapsulated and graded 3.0 with “Cream to Off-White Pages” by CGC, this issue of Four Color #178 is offered in this lot. The writer and artist, Carl Barks, was one of the three inaugural inductees of the Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame. This copy, printed in 1947, boasts the first appearance of Uncle Scrooge. With a bold and whimsical cover, we enjoy Walt Disney’s Donald Duck at Christmas time. This copy features a purple label from CGC representing a small amount of glue on the spine, but it does not distract from the historical or aesthetic value.
