Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Hall of Famer, in a Rookie Card appearance. Among more than 1,400 copies recorded in PSA’s census reporting, just sixteen examples have been placed at a higher, unqualified tier. Bowman's debut-year collectible of "Stan the Man" was produced during one of Musial's "career" years. He led the league in batting with a .376 average, and produced 131 RBI while slugging 46 home runs (just two short of achieving the Triple Crown). The offered portrait of the young star clearly shows his intensity as well as the keen eye of a pure hitter who had not only power, but the finesse to achieve the circuit's highest average at the plate. This card projects a commendable appearance and sports sharp corners. Additionally, the piece has been spared the age-toning that is generally associated with the issue. Musial's image is superb, and the card has a very fresh look. Near Mint to Mint condition.
