Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA. Hall of Famer, in his treasured Rookie Card depiction. Ownership of a quality '48 Bowman Mikan is the ultimate aspiration of virtually all vintage basketball card collectors! In addition to his placement on a very scarce, high number-series card in his era's most prized and important series, Mikan is recognized as one of the earliest players who permanently changed the game of basketball. He was also one of his sport's earliest true superstars, as well as the game's first "big man" – an athlete who towered over his opponents. Mikan's participation required that the rules of basketball be redefined, just to accommodate his unique talents. The offered card will be welcomed into any assembly intended to honor hardcourt legends. Its obverse image is clean, and the subject's blue background is extremely bold. The corners are well-shaped with moderate degrees of wear that are easily acceptable within the card's grade. Very Good to Excellent condition.
