Graded VG 3 by SGC. Hall of Famer, in his treasured Rookie Card depiction. In addition to his placement on a very scarce, high number-series card in his era's most prized and important series, George Mikan is recognized as one of the earliest players who permanently changed the game of basketball. He was also one of his sport's earliest true superstars, as well as the game's first "big man" – an athlete who towered over his opponents. Mikan's participation required that the rules of basketball be redefined, just to accommodate his unique talents. The offered card's image is clean, and the subject's blue background is extremely bold. The corners are generally well-shaped and reveal wear consistent with the card's grade. Very Good condition.
