Presented here is a complete set of Fawcett Publication’s 1950 Jackie Robinson comic book series. Published the year after Robinson won the National League MVP Award, these six comics chronicle Robinson’s life and baseball career. The six issues feature various full-color portraits of Robinson on the front. The back covers feature portraits of Robinson on some, with others containing advertisements for Fawcett’s line of Jackie Robinson products. The back cover of issue No. 3 features a “Baseball Oddities” page. This set of comic books is a throwback to the Golden Age of baseball, and would be an amazing addition to the collection of any Robinson fan.
