No player in baseball history has slugged as many World Series home runs as the inimitable Mickey Mantle. Mantle appeared in 12 World Series during his Yankee career, winning seven as the Bronx Bombers totally dominated Major League Baseball during the 1950’s and 1960’s. “The Commerce Comet” crushed 18 round-trippers in the Fall Classic, with only Babe Ruth (15 World Series home runs) anywhere near Mantle’s career total.

Presented here is a collection of tickets from every World Series game in which Mantle hit a home run. Mantle hit his first World Series home run in Game 6 of the 1952 Series, when he was only 20 years old. He came to bat in the top of the eighth inning against Billy Loes of the Dodgers, and promptly uncorked a solo home run to deep left center for what would ultimately be the game winning run. The Yankees went on to win 3-2, and the legend of “The Mick” was born. The ticket stub for Game 6 has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA/DNA (22286061) and graded an EX 5. Mantle hit his second home run in Game 7 to help the Yankees clinch their record 15th World Series title. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and graded a GD 2 by PSA/DNA (17811333). The next two tickets are from Game 2 and Game 5 of the 1953 World Series. The ticket stub to Game 2 has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA/DNA (02089587). This ticket stub has been encapsulated and graded a PR 1 by PSA/DNA (03265448).

Mantle hit his 12th and 13th World Series homers in Game 2 of the classic 1960 World Series at Forbes Field in Pittsburgh. He went deep off Joe Gibbon and Fred Green in the Yankees 16-3 Game 2 victory. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and graded a PR 1 by PSA/DNA (14988803). Mantle’s solo home run off Sandy Koufax was the Yankees only run of the contest. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA/DNA (02089589). Mantle hit his final three World Series home runs during the 1964 Fall Classic against the St. Louis Cardinals. Number 16 came in Game 3, a 2-1 Yankees win.
