Offered here is an envelope personally addressed by the 35th President of the United States of America, John F. Kennedy. The postage stamp on this brown envelope indicates that it was sent in 1952, when Kennedy was serving as a member of the United States House of Representatives serving the 11th District of Massachusetts. Kennedy has filled out the address on the front of this 11.75 x 9-inch envelope in fine-tip black marker, writing “Mrs. Jean Thompson / 59 East 72nd Street / New York City, New York”. A stamp on the upper corner of the envelope reads “House of Representatives, US / Public Document / Free”. Kennedy’s facsimile signature is stamped on the opposite upper corner. Included inside the envelope is an 8 x 10-inch photograph of Kennedy sent to “Mrs. Jean Thompson”. The envelope is sealed however the end of the envelope has been opened. This item comes with a LOA from JSA.
