After losing in heart-breaking fashion to their bitter rivals, the New Giants, in the 1951 National League pennant series capped off by Bobby Thomson’s “Shot Heard Round The World”, the 1952 Brooklyn Dodgers rebounded to win the National League, only to lose a hard-fought seven game series to cross-town rivals the New York Yankees. 24 members of the 1952 National League Champion Brooklyn Dodgers have signed this Official National League Warren C. Giles baseball. All of the signatures have been signed in black pen and features the signatures of Carl Furillo and Chuck Dressen on the sweet spot. Additional signatures include Hall of Famers Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanella and Dick Williams. Other signatures include Carl Erskine, Ralph Branca, Clem Labine, Gil Hodges, Andy Pafko, Billy Cox, Cal Abrams, George Pfister, Billy Loes, Joe Black, John Rutherford, Bud Podbielan, Rocky Bridges, Chris Van Cuyk, Bob Morgan, Johnny Schmitz, Ben Wade and Clyde King. This ball is in excellent condition displaying only minor toning. The signatures and stamps are clear and is a great early 1950’s Dodgers’ ball. This comes with a LOA from JSA (BB29718). Please note that the signature of Pee Wee Reese has been deemed a clubhouse signature by JSA.
