Among more than 2,750 copies recorded in PSA’s census reporting, fewer than four percent of the total population have attained a higher, unqualified tier. Offered here is an extremely fresh 1952 Topps number 261, the classic depiction of Willie Mays. Virtually all aspects of this choice card, portraying the Giants' renowned slugger in his second year, are justifiably expressed in superlative terms. From the moment of its creation, this one was superior to most others, and it has remained so. Seldom does a '52 Topps card deliver such brilliance of print or luster of surface. Immaculate distribution of color, jet-black lettering, bright white border character, and impeccable gloss are all immediately apparent.
