The reigning National League M.V.P. at the time of this card's production, Campanella's cheerful countenance is celebrated to the fullest on this clean, mildly circulated copy. The former Negro Leaguer's contributions were essential to the Brooklyn Dodgers' success during the 1950s – including the squad's 1955 World Championship – and this prized Campanella card stands as one of the period's most sought-after commemoratives.
