Graded VG-EX+ 4.5 by PSA. Hall of Famer, in his Rookie Card appearance. A scarcer 1952 Topps "High Number" collectible, as well as the Final Card in its series. Although the #407 Mathews card has less notoriety as a condition rarity than the issue's #1 entry, Pafko, it's still a very elusive piece for anyone putting together a quality 1952 Topps set. The image on the front of the offered Mathews is reasonably well-positioned for its type – particularly in view of the dramatic skewing so often induced by the card's original location on its factory press sheet. A clean example – conceding corner wear while retaining favorable eye appeal – in Very Good to Excellent-plus condition.
