Graded EX+ 5.5 by PSA. Hall of Famer, and the condition-sensitive "First Card" in its set. Topps' selection of Jackie Robinson as the leading subject in the company's 1953 issue inadvertently created one of the hobby's most popular (and frustrating) condition rarities. The collectible is very difficult to find without visually troublesome signs of wear, especially in the unforgiving black caption area. The offered card's colors are bright and clear, and its corner wear, though observable, remains wholly inoffensive. Jackie's portrait presents marvelously. Excellent-plus condition.
