Each card has been graded or encapsulated by PSA. Offered is a 19-card near set (missing Williams for completion) of Wilson Franks baseball cards from 1954. These beautiful cards from the one-year-only Wilson set are so difficult to find that hobbyists spend years searching for even a few specimens to add to their collections. It's a pursuit that's well worthwhile, however, since many of the period's top stars, including Roy Campanella, Bob Feller and Gil Hodges are depicted on these elusive collectibles. The great ballplayers are portrayed with considerable charm as well. The colorful, detailed likenesses are accompanied in each item's design by a package of the manufacturer's product. The wide expanse of background color on each piece has allowed for only the narrowest of borders resulting in few well-centered examples. Also, the cards were packaged with meat, thus inducing yet another, painfully obvious problem affecting many of the industry's Wilson specimens.
