The greatest catcher ever to wear the pinstripes used this piece of timber during the 1954 All-Star Game in Cleveland.

During the 11-9 slugfest, the Yankee backstop went 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored and caught the entire game. Berra continued the momentum of the AL's win into the rest of the season, going on to claim his second MVP Award by the year's end. The Hillerich & Bradsby R43 show outstanding use with a slight handle crack that has been repaired. Slight checking from repeated ball contact is visible on the back barrel. Many ball and stitch impressions are visible as are cleat marks.

To designate this bat as made specially manufactured for the mid-season classic, H&B has stamped "ALL STAR GAME 1954" and "CLEVELAND" above and below Yogi's facsimile signature on the barrel. A light coat of pine tar still coats the handle. Model number "R43" is stamped into the knob end over which is painted a circle and Yogi's number "8" in black. The Hall of Famer has signed the barrel between the endorsement and center brand in black marker, completing this extraordinary piece of All-Star history. PSA/DNA sticker 1B02875 is affixed to the barrel end. Letter of Authenticity from JSA (X64534) and PSA/DNA who have given this bat their perfect score of GU-10.
