Former first baseman Ray Sievers spent 17 seasons in the Majors with five different teams and had his most productive years with the Washington Senators in the mid-to-late 1950’s. Sievers’ top season came in 1957 when he led the National League in home runs with 42 and RBI with 114 as he finished third in the MVP voting. Offered here is one of the bats dated to the 1955-59 seasons that was used by Sievers during this labeling period. Sievers’ Hillerich & Bradsby K55 model bat displays excellent game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks and bat rack streaks present on the barrel with the bat’s model number “K55” being stamped on the knob. Sievers has signed his name in black marker on the barrel. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B16990) for the game use and has been given a grade of GU 7.5, plus a LOA from Beckett Authentication (AA08591) for the signature.
