Offered here is a game used Official National League Warren Giles baseball that was used in Game 4 of the 1955 World Series between the Brooklyn Dodgers and the New York Yankees. Game 4 would be a pivotal moment in the series as the New York Yankees led the series two games to one coming into the game, and Game 4 saw Brooklyn even the series with an 8-5 victory at Ebbets Field.

Thanks to home runs by Roy Campanella, Gil Hodges and Duke Snider, the Dodgers sent the Brooklyn faithful home happy as they would go on to upset the Yankees and win their first ever World Series Championship and their only World Series victory as a Brooklyn based team. This offered ball shows solid game use and was the very ball Snider hit for a fifth inning three-run home run off Yankees pitcher Johnny Kucks to give the Yankees a commanding 7-3 lead. The “Duke of Flatbush” signed this ball on the right panel and inscribed: “To Larry Very Best Wishes”. Also inscribed on another side panel is “10-1-55, HR Ball, Ebbets Field, WS”. This item comes with a full LOA from MEARS for the game use, who have determined that this is the ball hit for Snider’s fifth inning home run, as well as an LOA by PSA/DNA (AB12606) for Snider’s signature.
