Offered is a 1956 Walt Disney boldly signed personal check from the animation/motion picture/entertainment legend. The founder of the Walt Disney Company has signed his name “Walter E. Disney” in bold black pen with flourished that closely resemble the company’s current logo which is based on his signature. The yellow paper check is made payable to “H. L. Byram, County Tax Collector” inscribed in black pen in the amount of $1,728.24. The Bank of America check from the account of “Walter E. Disney” is stamped “Dec. -5, 1956” in blue. It is also inscribed “First Installment 1956 Taxes” in black pen on the left. In context, 1956 was a big year for Disney, as his Disneyland amusement park in Anaheim, California was in its second full year, and his ABC-TV network show, also called “Disneyland”, was one of the nation’s top-rated weekly TV shows. This item has been authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA (81550003) and the signature has been graded MINT 9.
