When the all-time great performances in postseason history are discussed, Don Larsen’s perfect game against the Brooklyn Dodgers in Game 5 of the 1956 World Series is usually the first instance to be mentioned. Larsen shut down the Dodgers across all nine innings, masterfully negating the supreme talent of a lineup boasting four future Hall of Famers, the eight-time All-Star Gil Hodges, and a future National League batting champion in Carl Furillo. Mickey Mantle hit his eighth career postseason home run in this game, an eventual 2-0 Yankees victory. Offered here is a ticket stub to the historic fifth game of the 1956 Fall Classic. This ticket has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (21181632).
