In 1957, the Milwaukee Braves won their franchise’s only World Series championship in the city of Milwaukee, defeating the mighty New York Yankees in a seven game World Series. It was also a sweep of the individual awards for the 1957 Braves as Hank Aaron won the National League MVP, Warren Spahn won the Cy Young Award and Lew Burdette won World Series MVP honors, winning three of the Braves four games, including the clinching seventh game.

Offered here is an Official National League Warren C. Giles baseball that has been signed by 27 members of that historic Milwaukee Braves team. All of the signatures on this baseball have been signed in blue pen with manager Fred Haney’s clubhouse signature on the sweet spot. Please note that Haney’s clubhouse signature displays some chipping. The north panel has the signatures of Carl Sawatski, Lew Burdette, Felix Mantilla, Gene Conley, Dave Jolly, Del Crandall, Taylor Phillips and Hall of Famer Hank Aaron.

The south panel has the signatures Hall of Famer Eddie Mathews, Bob Throwbridge, Ernie Johnson, John DeMerit, Bob Hazle, Hawk Taylor (signed Bob Taylor) and Bob Buhl. The east panel has the signatures of Hall of Famers Warren Spahn and Red Schoendienst, along with Johnny Logan, Wes Covington and Mel Roach. The final panel, the west panel, has the signatures of Frank Torre, Andy Pafko, Juan Pizarro, Don McMahon, Nippy Jones and the second signature of Lew Burdette. The baseball displays toning, while the stampings are light but still clear and the signatures are bold. This baseball comes with a full LOA from JSA (Z21818).
