This 1957 Topps Terry Sawchuk, which has been graded NM-MT+ 8.5, appears to be mint in virtually every respect and would not look out of place in a MINT 9 holder. A virtually perfect image (one tiny dot to the right of Sawchuck's image being the exception) is framed by snow white borders. None of the four corners show any signs of wear with just a few misplaced paper fibers on one of the back corners (from the factory cut). This card stands as the only example to be graded "8.5" with no examples graded higher. A multitude of possible problems are typically inherent with this issue and in particular the Sawchuck card, that this one survived as well as it did is a miracle, that it wasn't graded MINT 9 seems unjust. Still the highest grade possible.
