Offered here is a collection of seven Baseball Writers Association of America complimentary season passes. The first pass is from the 1958 season, the Golden Anniversary of the BBWAA. This gold pass was issued to John Drohan of Boston, Massachusetts. This pass has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (25292318). The second pass is from the 1964 season and it was issued to Jerry Green of Detroit. This pass has been signed in blue pen by Watson Spoelstra, a longtime BBWAA member and the grandfather of current Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra. This pass has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (20925452). The next pass was issued to Ed Sainsbury of the United Press International for the 1975 MLB season. It has been signed by Jerome Holtzman, the man credited with the invention of the save statistic. This pass has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (21320375).
The next pass, from 1976, was also issued to Ed Sainsbury. This pass has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (21320380). Also included in this lot is Sainsbury’s 1977 BBWAA season pass. This pass has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (21320381). The final two passes in this lot are both from the 1987 MLB season. The first was issued to Steve Jacobson of Newsday, while the second pass was issued to Norman MacLean of Sports Press Service. These passes have been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (Jacobson: 22100627, MacLean: 22100626).
