Presented is a finished half-bat manufactured by Hillerich & Bradsby with the signatures of 36 members of the 1958 Chicago White Sox.  The legend “1958 White Sox” has been inscribed in white paint on the bat’s handle. Notable signatures on the Louisville Slugger 125 baseball bat, which is sawed in half along the barrel, include National Baseball Hall of Fame inductees Early Wynn, Luis Aparicio, Al Lopez and Nellie Fox (all in black ink).  Other signatures include:  Bob Shaw, Sam Esposito, Bubba Phillips, Ray Boone, Jim Landis, Johnny Callison, Jim Rivers, Don Miller, Ron Jackson, Turk Lowry and Bill Goodman.

The 1958 Chicago White Sox finished with an 82-72 record, good enough for second place in the American League, 10 games behind the first-place New York Yankees. Fox, a second baseman, led the White Sox with a .300 batting average, while pitcher Billy Pierce finished with a 17-11 record under manager Al Lopez.
