Presented is an Eleanor Roosevelt autographed advance presentation copy of her 1958 book, “On My Own.” Mrs. Roosevelt has signed in blue ink under a publisher’s note “This copy of ON MY OWN is one of those signed by Mrs. Roosevelt for advance presentation to friends of the author and the publisher.” A 1958 First Edition published by Harper & Brothers Publishers, New York. A light blue hardcover, with a stamped “Eleanor Roosevelt” signature in black on the lower right of the front cover, and the title, author and published stamped in gold on dark blue on the spine, there is no dust jacket. Mrs. Roosevelt (1884-1962) was the longest-serving First Lady of the United States, having held the post from March 1933 to April 1945 during her husband, President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s four terms in office. She served as U.S. Delegate to the United Nations General Assembly from 1945 to 1952. This item comes with a COA from PSA/DNA (AC83604).
