Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Hall of Famer, in his Rookie Card appearance. Among more than 3,500 copies recorded in PSA’s census reporting, just eleven examples have been placed at a higher tier. This superb example has fully thwarted all of the 1958 Topps set's built-in condition liabilities. Centering is extraordinary for that difficult issue, and the matte-red background color on the reverse has come through with seldom-seen freshness. The likeness of the Canton-enshrined running back displays nice resolution, and its surrounding borders and corners are bright and barely touched. An important and aesthetically satisfying piece, in Near Mint to Mint condition.
