After giving all he had year after year, the St. Louis Cardinals unceremoniously traded away Enos Slaughter in 1953. Refusing to call it a career, Slaughter resurfaced with the Yankees where he was used as a part-time starter and pinch hitter, helping the Yankees win a pair of World Series and four pennants. Slaughter’s 1959 Hillerich & Bradsby M110 model bat shows outstanding use with a repaired handle crack. There are many ball marks with stitch impressions found on the right and left barrel along with blue bat rack paint streaks. The model number “M110” is stamped into the knob and Slaughter’s number “17” has been hand written in black. The Hall of Fame has signed the barrel with the inscription “Yankees 54-59 HOF 7-28-85” in blue marker. A great gamer used by the Hall of Fame during the height of the 1950’s Yankees dynasty. The bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (H53100) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9, plus a LOA from JSA for the signature.
