The Baby Bull Orlando Cepeda was selected as the NL's the Rookie of the Year in 1958, and began 1959 at an even faster pace, hitting in the first nine straight games. By the All-Star break he had 12 home runs to his credit, leading to his being named to the National League All-Star team. After the break, Cepeda went on to lead the Giants in batting with a .317 average and tops in RBI as well with 105. Produced for use in the 1959 All-Star Game, this Adirondack 114A model bat shows good use and is un-cracked. There are several ball mars on the barrel and the model number is stamped into the knob. The attractive flame burned barrel carries the special white-stamped “1959 ALL-STAR” designation along with “CEPEDA” in block letters. A very distinctive looking gamer created especially for the 1959 Mid-Summer Classic. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B05902) for the game use and has been graded a solid GU 8.
