The Los Angeles Dodgers wasted no time in bringing championship ball to the West Coast. Just one year after relocating from Brooklyn, the Dodgers took the 1959 National League pennant after beating the Milwaukee Braves in a best-of-three playoff, then overcame the Chicago White Sox for the World Championship. The ’59 team was the perfect combination of the old “Boys of Summer” of Duke Snider, Pee Wee Reese and Gil Hodges and the future dynasty of Sandy Koufax, Don Drysdale and Maury Wills.

20 of the World Champion Dodgers have signed this Spalding Official National League Giles ball including Hall of Famers Sandy Koufax, Don Drysdale, Duke Snider, Pee Wee Reese and skipper Walter Alston. All the rest of the Dodgers are here including Gil Hodges, Johnny Podres, Maury Wills, Carl Furillo, Carl Erskine, Danny McDevitt, Norm Larker, Clem Labine, Stan Williams, Johnny Roseboro, Don Demeter, Solly Drake, Joe Pignatano, Gene Snyder, Johnny Lippstein, Art Fowler, Rip Repulski, Don Zimmer, Wally Moon and Ron Fairly. The ball shows light toning from age and the blue ball point signatures are very strong against the cream-colored leather. Note: although the date “1958” was been hand lettered on the ball, PSA/DNA has determined this to be the 1959 team. The ball comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (B90267) for the signatures.
