When Cassius Clay won the light-heavyweight gold medal at the 1960 Rome Olympics, he commissioned these rings for members of his team. This 10K gold ring has a large red stone on top with “MUHAMMAD ALI CASSIUS CLAY” surrounding the perimeter. One shank has “GOLD MEDAL” and a pair of hanging boxing gloves, while the other shank has “ROME 1960” and a pair of Olympic torches. This size 13.25/17 gram Intergold ring has the manufacturer’s initials “IGO” and “10K” engraved inside with “Rome 1960”. Comes with an Intergold ring box. The ring remains in Near Mint condition.
