Hank was on his way to hitting 40 home runs and a league-leading 126 RBI's when he was selected to play on the National League All Star team. The 1960 mid-summer classic was the sixth of his astounding twenty-one consecutive All-Star appearances. 1960 was the second year two All-Star Games were held, a tradition that continued through 1963 when a single game was re-instituted. For 1960 the games were held in Municipal Stadium in Kansas City and Yankee Stadium in New York. Aaron, a notoriously poor All-Star Game performer, went hitless in both games that summer (he'd manage only .194 in 24 All-Star appearances). Although Aaron did not connect during the two games, he evidently liked the feel of this bat and used it often and with tremendous results.

The Hillerich & Bradsby S2 model bat shows great game use. The barrel is covered with ball marks and scuffs along with cleat imprints. "1960 ALL STAR GAME" and "KANSAS CITY NEW YORK" is stamped above and below Aaron's facsimile signature. Bat rack paint streaks are seen and a light coat of Aaron's pine tar is still in evidence on the handle. There are many chips and nicks found on the barrel and knob ends from contact. The model number "S2" has been stamped into the knob end and the bat has taken on a warm golden glow with age. The top barrel shows some slight staining but is not visible from the front when displayed. To make this All-Star bat all the more desirable, Hank has signed the barrel in black ink between the center brand and his stamped endorsement. No one has made more All-Star appearances than Hank Aaron and this signed gamer is the penultimate example of his tremendous power and popularity with the fans. A JSA LOA accompanies this bat for the signature.
