Hall of Fame pitcher Hoyt Wilhelm had a remarkable career. Toiling in the minor leagues, Wilhelm didn’t make his Major League debut until he was 29 years old. Thanks to his knuckleball, Wilhelm still managed to carve out a 21-year career that saw him retire with the most wins as a reliever (124), was the first pitcher to earn 200 saves and retired with one of the lowest ERA’s of all-time at 2.52.

Wilhelm was in his second season with the Baltimore Orioles in 1960 when he wore this road gray Orioles’ flannel jersey. This size 44 Spalding zipper-front jersey features “Baltimore”, a paraph and Wilhelm’s number “15” sewn on in orange and black felt. Black piping runs around the collar and down both sides of the zipper. The Spalding tag is sewn on the bottom of the front left tail and a gray patch with “60 15 44” is sewn on the inside back collar. Wilhelm’s number “15” is sewn on the back in orange and black felt. An Orioles logo patch is sewn on the left sleeve. The zipper and the numbers have been professionally restored and a hole has been patched. This jersey comes with a LOA from MEARS for the game use and has been graded an A6.
