Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Rams linebacker Maxie Baughan wore this Hula Bowl jersey in the 1960 edition of the college football extravaganza. Baughan, a star at Georgia Tech, parlayed his excellent Hula Bowl performance into a second-round selection by the Eagles in the 1960 NFL Draft, beginning a sterling 12-season NFL career. Baughan made nine Pro Bowls and two First Team All-Pro squads while leading the Eagles to the NFL title in his first season with the team.

Offered in this lot is the red Hula Bowl jersey worn by Baughan in the 1960 Hula Bowl. Baughan’s number “55” is sewn on the chest and back in white tackle twill. The shoulders are white, with blue stars printed on the knit jersey. A small hole is present on the back collar of this size “46” jersey. Also included in this lot are numerous Hula Bowl mementos and documents, including a multi-signed Hula Bowl program. Signatures in this program include Billy Cannon, Ray Jauch, Richie Lucas, Ron Burton, Charlie Flowers, Jim Houston, Larry Grantham, Larry Cundiff, Lou Cordileone, Jim Heineke, Mike McGee, Bob White, Johnny Robinson, Dean Look, Durel Matherne, Jim Vickers, Richard Brooks, Bill Lindner, Palmer Pyle, Lynn LeBlanc, Bill Burrell, and Jerry Stalcup. The signatures have been written in black and blue pen. Also included in this lot are numerous documents, letters, and photographs relating to Baughan and the 1960 Hula Bowl. The jersey comes with a LOA from 100% Authentic and the program is accompanied by a LOA from Beckett Authentication Services.
