Graded 96 MINT 9 by SGC. Hall of Famer, in his "Rookie Card" appearance. This is one of just five examples at its tier (with none graded higher) among a total of nearly 1,000 copies recorded in SGC's census reporting. A fixture in the Boston Red Sox' lineup from 1960 until his retirement in 1983, Carl Yastrzemski is featured as a first-year phenom on this ever-popular Topps collectible. Pure white borders and dramatically square corners are hallmarks of this example. Typical 1960-series print-tracing is conspicuously absent on this beautifully inked copy. This first card of Yaz is always a keeper, and the extremely high level of eye appeal in the offered specimen makes it all the more special! Glittering Mint condition.
