When most ball players would pack it in at the age of 40, Stan Musial execrated into his final three seasons in the Majors. Musial hit .288 in 1961, his best in three years, and then topped that the following summer with a majestic .330, third best in the National League. Musial’s final offensive outburst cemented his reputation as National League’s most prolific hit machine of the post-war period.

Stan’s Hillerich & Bradsby M159 model bat is un-cracked and just as you’d expect from one of “Stan The Man’s” bats, it shows heavy use. There is checking on the barrel from repeated ball contact and several ball marks with stitch impressions are visible. There are cleat impressions on the barrel and blue and red bat rack paint streaks. The T ring tape application on the handle has been removed and the model number “M159” is stamped into the knob end. To top off this Hall of Fame-worthy bat, Musial has signed the bat’s barrel in bold black marker. The bat comes with a Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA (1B05897) for the game use and have graded it a GU 7.5 and an additional LOA from PSA/DNA for this signature (AC04505).
